Vienna Woods Wine Tour
Discover indigenous wines & picturesque villages on our farm-to-table Vienna Wine Tour
Wine, Vines & Good Times!
The German name for Vienna is ‘Wien’. Rearrange that and you get wine. If that hasn’t convinced you already to join our tour, then consider that Vienna is surrounded by renowned wine regions, from the sun-baked Burgenland to the southeast and the famous Wachau Valley to the west. The province of Lower Austria, most known for its Grüner Veltliner, entirely surrounds the city is considered the cradle of Austrian viticulture, so we want to take you to the beautiful vineyards of its Thermal Region, just south of Vienna. Home to traditionally quaint wine villages and unique wines, we showcase this lesser known yet truly gorgeous Austrian wine region…

Bespoke pricing options for larger groups
Naturally, we can also host larger groups than advertised, so do please get in touch with us directly to discuss bespoke pricing options for your private wine tours.
Wine enthusiast tour leader
I think the best way to broaden one's palette is to adopt a region-by-region approach. Having bravely embarked on this daunting challenge 😉 I was so impressed with the beauty & wines of the Thermal Region that I was inspired to start Venture Vienna!
Wine tastings
Alongside one the region's finest producers, we will introduce you to all of the Thermal Region's specialty wines. From the wonderfully unique Rotgipfler to a drop of Austrian Beerenauslese, and everything in between.

Vienna Wine Tour Meeting Point
We meet outside the main entrance to Vienna's 'Wien Mitte' train station, next to the digital clock and temperature gauge. The station is very easy to reach on foot from practically anywhere in the city center, as it is centrally located. If you prefer to use other means of transport, then you can of course arrive via taxi or tram depending on where you are staying. The easiest method, however, is on the u-bahn (underground/metro). Just head to the u-bahn station 'Landstraße', which is on the U3 orange and the U4 green lines. Look for the 'Landstraße Hauptstraße' exits and you should then be at street level at the main entrance. We meet here at 09:10 in summer (Apr-Oct) and 09:40 in winter (Nov-Mar).
